April was the Skills for Care #CelebratingSocialCare month. We celebrate what our team does year-round, but we use this month to join with the rest of our industry to shout a little bit louder about what we do.
People who work in social care are highly skilled, passionate and hard-working and it’s important that we all take time to recognise the vital work they do. Without our sector’s dedicated workforce many people would not be able to live fulfilling lives in the way they choose.
Among other activities, we held a drop-in coffee morning for the team and recorded a series of short videos of team members, spotlighting the work they do day in, day out, and what it means to them. Thank you to everyone who helped organise, join in and #CelebrateSocialCare – you are all wonderful.
