Your introduction to Doris Jones
Everyone joining Doris Jones will go through our onboarding programme, designed to help you feel confident, supported and ready for your role in the community. Your onboarding journey will include:
- Induction training delivered in-house by our experienced leadership team, centred around how we like to work and how we keep both our clients and our team safe in the community
- A blend of practical face-to-face and online learning to prepare you for your role
- Scenario-based role play training (itβs very likely Caroline will have you acting out a few situations!) to help build confidence and develop real-life skills
- Care Certificate pathway for all new starters and those new to the care industry
- Shadowing and handovers with existing carers to support a smooth introduction to our clients, giving you time to learn our online systems and understand how we like to interact with the people we support
- System training with our Client Services teamΒ
- Ongoing support from HR and regular check-ins from your Team Lead throughout your onboarding journey
- Supportive spot checks during your first 3β6 months to help build confidence and support your development
Every onboarding journey is tailored to the individual depending on previous experience, but our goal is always the same β to make sure you feel fully supported every step of the way.
